I am in complete agreeance, unpaid internships are pretty insulting. To me, offering an unpaid internship is saying ‘We are so awesome we just might consider letting you do work for us for free.” If you are considering doing an unpaid internship, stop right now. Take that time you were going to freely give to someone else, and use it to challenge yourself. Thanks Marco.

 here here on this one.  i found this to be particularly true in the graphic design field when i was in connecticut, and now in new mexico.  all employers wanted workplace experience.  during school i was in the middle of nowhere and couldn’t even afford a car.  after school i needed a full time job so i could have health insurance.  an internship just wasn’t an option.
